Child Support

PDF Print

Our Firm assists clients in determining the amount of child support that may be required to be paid in a divorce action, paternity action or modification action.  We explain the Florida Statutory Guidelines on Child Support and the financial obligations you or your spouse has to contribute to certain non-insurance covered expenses of your child, to the cost of life insurance to secure child support, to the cost of private school or after school care, and any additional considerations that can affect the support obligation.

Income deduction orders (similar to garnishment orders) can be entered requiring the payor’s employer to deduct the court ordered amount of child support directly from the payor’s paycheck.  This is then paid through the Central Government Depository, so that this becomes automatic for both the payor and the payee.
